If after thoughtful observation, you believe a child in your community is being abused or neglected, DO NOT try to confront the parent or get involved.

The very best thing you can do is report your suspicions to the appropriate professionals.  You can contact your local child services agency or police department.  Alternately, you can also call the Crisis Centre Hotline at   072 011 7861

We do NOT pay Rentals, Electricity and Water Bills, or Assist with Groceries/Hampers.

The Consequences of Abuse:

Women who suffer abuse may face physical injuries, chronic health issues, and long-term psychological trauma. Children in these households are also profoundly affected, often experiencing emotional distress, behavioral issues, or repeating cycles of abuse in adulthood.

Many women hesitate to seek help due to fear of retaliation, social stigma, financial dependence, or cultural expectations. Some may worry about the impact on their children or feel shame about leaving a marriage. Abuse by a husband is a grave violation of trust and human rights. Raising awareness, breaking the silence, and offering support are essential steps toward protecting women and creating safer families and communities. Every woman deserves a life free from fear and harm.

"It’s our duty to serve you"

Child abuse is one of the most devastating violations of trust a child can experience. When the very people responsible for a child’s safety—parents or guardians—become the source of harm, the consequences are profound and long-lasting.

Many children are afraid to speak out because they fear retaliation, believe the abuse is their fault, or feel loyal to their parents. Others may lack access to trusted adults who can intervene.  Parents, teachers, and community members must recognize the signs of abuse, such as unexplained injuries, changes in behavior, withdrawal, or fearfulness.

Protective services can remove children from harmful situations, provide safe housing, and ensure perpetrators are held accountable under the law.  Counseling and therapy help abused children process trauma, build resilience, and regain a sense of safety and trust.   Child abuse by parents is a grave violation of trust and human rights. Raising awareness, supporting victims, and enforcing protective measures are essential to safeguard children and give them the childhood they deserve—a safe, nurturing, and loving environment.
